Conflict is normal and part of everyday living. Conflict can stretch our minds to see in new ways and create new solutions to vexing problems. Ongoing, unresolved conflict, however, can destroy us, our families, our organizations and our future as surely as any weapon.  We have two choices when in conflict: we can use the conflict to grow and learn, or the conflict will use us to grow and destroy.

Most organizations have no idea of how much internal conflict costs:

  • More than half of employee turnover is due to conflict at work.

  • Turnover costs per employee average between 75% and 150% of the individual employee’s annual salary (down time, advertising, hiring, training, etc.)
